Corrections Policy & Calculation Audit
Commitment to mathematical precision, transparent correction of factual discrepancies, and versioned calculation engine auditing.
Our Commitment to Accuracy & Truth
OmniZodiac strives for rigorous, testable astronomical calculations and documented calendrical methodologies in all ephemeris algorithms, calendrical correlations, and astronomical coordinates. When an inaccuracy or calculation discrepancy is discovered, we are committed to investigating, verifying, and correcting it promptly and transparently across all eight language editions.
Reporting Calculation & Content Discrepancies
If you identify an astrological coordinate discrepancy, historical inaccuracy, translation error, or technical defect, please contact our technical desk via our Contact Page with the subject "Editorial Correction & Calculation Discrepancy".
Please provide the following reproducibility details:
- Exact birth date (YYYY-MM-DD), birth time (HH:MM), and geographical coordinates / city.
- Calculation engine or tradition involved (Western, Maya, Egyptian, Chinese, Numerology, Compatibility).
- Observed value vs. Expected benchmark value from authoritative ephemerides (e.g. VSOP87, FAMSI, Purple Mountain Observatory).
Investigation & Resolution Protocol
- Verification: Calculations are reproduced against primary astronomical ephemerides and historical academic sources within OmniZodiac's automated test harness.
- Correction & Deployment: Confirmed discrepancies are repaired in the deterministic engine, verified with new regression unit tests, and deployed across all eight locale editions in our scheduled release updates.
- Public Changelog: Any substantive formula modification is documented in our public calculation engine version matrix on the Trust & Methodology Center.
Calculation Engine Versioning Standard
OmniZodiac versions each calculation engine independently following Semantic Versioning (SemVer):
- Major (x.0.0): Fundamental astronomical theory or correlation constant change (e.g. transition to IAU 2006 precession constants).
- Minor (1.x.0): Algorithmic enhancements, new house systems, or additional astronomical features (e.g. Placidus semi-arc trisection).
- Patch (1.0.x): Coordinate precision refinement or boundary edge-case handling.
